The SYSTEM U800 Automated UV Dissolution System is comprised of the LOGAN UDT Automated Dissolution Tester, SP-100 (8) Channel Peristaltic Pump and UV-1601Shimadzu UV Visable Spectrophotometer. These modules are all controlled by the LOGAN ADUV Automated Dissolution UV software program running on an IBM-compatible PC, to create a closed loop automated on-line UV analysis system.

A user friendly program installed on a PC-compatible computer completely controls and monitors the Spectrophotometer, Dissolution Tester, and Peristaltic Pump, and displays the results in real time on a high-resolution color monitor. The System 800 Automated UV Dissolution System is adaptable to a wide number of applications and can be used to automate dissolution test procedures based on single or dual wavelengths.

In use the tablets are pre-loaded on the auto-dropping tray. The graphical display of the ADUV program prompts the lab technician to drop this tray so that the samples are dropped into the vessels simultaneously. The ADUV software program then takes control of the System 800 for the entire test run. The data at every reading is displayed, including the calculations for the percent dissolving.. When the test is over the rotation of the shafts automatically stops and the technician is presented with the results.
